Al: What prompted you to start writing? Was it all your interaction with Authors?
T. Lee: I have always wanted to write, I love books. I love the smell of books, the feel of them. I have written short stories for my kids through the years and they loved them. One day I just thought why not write. Then Bridget was born, and it's a long two year love affair and sometimes I hated her. I have spent a year rewriting her.
I have enjoyed working with other Authors and helping them get the word out. They inspire me and certainly were a factor in my beginning to write.
Al: What is the process like? Normally how long does it take to finish a poem?
T. Lee: The process is like ripping my heart out and spilling blood on the paper. It has been really difficult, I wanted to invite the reader into the book in a way that they could smell and taste it and really feel it.
Once a poem takes hold it takes me 1 to 2 minutes to write it.
Al: What are you working on now?
T. Lee: I am working on book II Bridget's Reflection, continuing her adventure.
Al: If you could take a vacation to anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
T. Lee: If I could go anywhere in the world, I would go to Ireland. Partly because my roots can be traced back to there and I have a great fondness for history and castles. I love to travel.
